Fall is coming. Happy!… Happy?

I’m totally a summer girl so when I started to get excited about fall coming soon I was really surprised. I really don’t like the cold weather. Then I realized that it is more about finally meeting my baby boy that I am excited about and also the fact that I will get to buy regular clothes again! Finally! Don’t get me wrong, I already love my boy a lot but I found it very difficult to buy less clothes and deal with the weight gain during these last 8 months.

To try to make the last 4 weeks of my pregnancy go by faster I started to look for key items/looks that I think are good to have in a fall wardrobe and that I’m gonna want to buy for my own.

1st: The denim shirt

It can be worn with a nice pair of colored jeans, floral jeans (really hot even this fall) or even in this case below a big print skirt. Don’t be afraid to try it in different outfits.

2nd: The big sweater

Fall, short, whatever the length, it is a must according to me. Wear it just to stay in the house and be comfy or when you go out with your favorite accessories and high heels boots to dress it up a little bit.

1 + 1 = 3?

So, big news came in last January. Or should I say BIG NEWS! We got pregnant late december! No, it wasn’t planned. Yes, we wanted kids, just later. Yes, we’re VERY happy! Life decided it was going to happen now for us. I can’t wait to see him/her again on the ultrasound at our next doctor appointment. All my friends think we’re having a boy. Some people say that sometimes the ”mom to be” has a feeling she knows what the sex of the baby is gonna be, but in my case, I really have no idea. What are your bets? Here is how we announced to our Facebook friends that we are expecting.

I would really like to find a really cool idea to reveal the sex of the baby. Do you have any ideas? Please share!

It took me while to adjust to the fact that I have to forget about all the clothes I was planning on buying for this summer. And I really thought that I was going to be in jeans and t-shirts during my whole pregnancy. Or even worse, in sweats. Yuck! I even thought about closing my blog. I didn’t know what I was going to say or if it would even be interesting to the readers. My boyfriend really encouraged me to keep writing since fashion is a passion for me. He said I shouldn’t give up my passions because I’m having a baby. And he is right. So, I started looking for maternity clothes on the web that are affordable and discovered that ASOS makes maternity clothes. ALELUIA! I also remembered about Sydney Poulton from The Daybook. The most stylish mama I know! (or ”know” cuz we’ve never met or anything.) Her ”real life and personal style bog” is my favorite! Sydney had a baby boy in fall 2011 but kept her distinctive style throughout her pregnancy. She really inspired me to get my own mama style so I made myself a little wish list for this summer. (Mom,  if you’re reading, size 8 would be great, Thanks! ahah!)

Aren't these amazing? Mint jeans are really a must this summer. I can't believe they are making these and that they are actually going to fit me! :)

I had this dress in black for New Year's Eve (for non-pregnant lady of course) and I loved it. It is going to be perfect for date nights with boyfriend this summer. <3

GO AWAY WINTER!

Did I ever say how much I hate winter? I just hate it so much. Sometimes I feel like it’s laughing at me or something. Just last week, it was starting to be a little bit warmer and I thought: ”Oooooh yeah! Spring is coming already!” But noooooooo! Miss Winter had to remind me that we’re still only in February and that she’s here to stay for at least another month. She’s a real b*tch!

SOOOO, to cheer me up a bit I found these lovely pictures of Maxi dresses on Pinterest and Shopbop.com. I think that’s all I’m gonna be wearing this summer.
